The Event

The IFRS academy is a joint partnership event of Blueprint Business Technologies (BBT), Finarch, and Microsoft, under the auspice of “CIO Nexus” with the participation of PwC (Price waterhouse Coopers) and Central Bank of Nigeria, which will feature presentations by Finarch (BBT’s Technology Partner) on the challenges and opportunities financial services organizations face as they implement to achieve IFRS accounting and reporting compliance status.

 


The Subject Area

Subject area experts from FinArch, an international market leader in integrated reporting, finance and risk software solutions for the financial services industry, will speak on 2 areas, namely:

  • Seven (7) steps required to achieve the IFRS compliant status
  • The challenges and solutions to meeting the regulatory requirements in the area of risk and capital management, with special emphasis on Basel II (and the upcoming Basel III), ALM and Liquidity Risk

Importantly, the event will feature presentations from the Central Bank of Nigeria on Risk Management beyond IFRS compliance and The Role of the Central Bank of Nigeria as Risk adjudicator of banks’ books.
